Best Vent/Rain Covers to Install over Factory Vent Fans???

Looking to purchase Vent Covers to go over the factory vent fans on the TT.

Mainly looking to keep vent open and not have to worry about rain and excess dirt from entering camper.

Looking for any practical advice and experience.

Those are the best IMO, but they're pricey. I went with the Maxx Air II covers which are larger than the original Maxx Air covers. I think I paid about $58 each a few years ago off Amazon.
  • The vent lids don't have to be open too far. We open ours 2-3 inches.
Again, make sure your fans are not automatic as they may want to open more.
  • I installed the Maxxair II (Roman numeral two, I think) cover. Keeps the rain and snow out, even in thunderstorms and blizzards. Not hard to install.

This is the one I am looking at as well. The video of different covers, including other suggestions here, convinced me. The other major difference is you use the screws for the camper vent rather than drilling holes in the vent frame and it is easy to remove with clips for cleaning.

Before I had Fan-Tastic Vents, I really liked the Aero-Flo Vent Covers. They are not tall enough for Fan-Tastic Vents, so my current RV has the Fan-Tastic Vent Covers.

With the Aero-Flo, how far open were you able to open the camper's vent cover?

About 80%. That was plenty far enough.

  • The new Maxx Air Fan Mate 955 like this is taller and I have no problem with my Fantastic Fan,which BTW the cover is designed to stop when it hits anything. I like the clips, they make it easy to open and clean the vent cover, unlike the others that you have to unbolt to clean or replace the vent lid Maxx Air Fan Mate

Had to be careful of placement over the Fantastic
. It fit but will not open comepletely. Mine is not automatic so it works for us.
Mine are all white. Our bedroom has a metal lid. If you have a white lid in bedroom, you may want to install dark covered cover.
