Black tank new valve location

My black tank valve won’t close. It’s all the way up under by the black tank and very hard to get as I have added some things under the trailer. Has anyone just left this one open and added a new valve by the pull  handle and use that one as the main one instead of changing the old one out. I was thinking of cutting the cap off and adding a new valtera valve at the end and not have to worry about the cables anymore.

Well then you are either going to have to replace the original valve or add another in-line.  Mine is inside a small cubby and a real pain to get to, but I've done it twice to clear the gate path so it would close all the way.  Not easy, but it can be done.

I have that now but it does not tighten down very well and when you hook up a hose to it comes off easy and afraid it will happen when full. Looking for a more secure fit
