Bump stops for under slung conversion

On my prior trailer I took some 4*6 blocks, drilled out where the bolts nuts go and strapped them to the tops of the spring packs to limit the spring inflection/inversion...

I'd like to go with one thing like the stuff from energy suspension this time, but having a hard time finding something that would work. I think I need something around 3" high by my estimates, but the models that size seem to all be 2.5 " wide which wouldn't clear the bolts/nuts as they are 2.5" wide (springs are 1-3/4")

The wedge /angled style would be perfect but looks like the largest I think they make in the multi-mount / two bolt mount configuration is < 2" tall (model 9.9137)..I was hoping to drill/tap the 2x2 member to which the hangers are welded and just use bolts/lock washers to attach

Anyone have a brand / model they'd recommend for this application?

Thx in advance
Brad

  • please post some pics of how and where you mount them... automotive mechanics is not a subject I'm super comfortable with.
  • I just ordered two of these @ amazon... I think/hope they'll work.

  • bump stops are the main reason I haven't done a flip on my super low KZ yet... I'll be watching this thread for ideas!
