Bus conversion

Found this on the internet today and thought some of you might find it interesting and maybe informative.

  • Interesting, and he did some very nice work on that bus.
It seems more like a party bus, than a true RV, as it's so open, but that was his design plan.
The limitations are the various systems that make an RV and RV...minimal water & Waste storage, refrigeration, toilet (OK, a porta potty, and he says he hopes to install a fixed system) and heating and cooling for the bus. And then there is the electrical system (other than the existing 12VDC apparently...he will want to include Inverter/converter for use when they stop at CGs.)...which will increase the cost of the build.

It sounds like he invested $9K for the project, but there is probably another $5-6K that will co into the completion of the unit. Still a decent investment to be sure, but it's an older bus, with who knows how many miles on it?

I still think it's a great job, and well worth including here on RV.net....thanks for posting.
