Changing analog TV to digital flatscreen

Actually, when I replaced our big old analog tube type set, I was thinking about building a frame for a VERSA mount of some type. Note that ours was in a overhead cabinet. To my amazement and relief, I discovered that I could just let the new LED sit on its own base, right in the cabinet floor! Had to trim the front edge of the stand so it would not stick out, then add a couple of screws through the back of the stand to keep it steady and in place. Replaced most of the original trim around the screen, and it was built in like it was made that way. Added a bit of padding and a couple to straps to keep it secure and reduce vibration. So,etimes a small board or two under the base might be needed to adjust the heightto your cabinet. What I like is that the small weight is all supported by the base.
