I like to see the battery connections to use the ring terminal lugs properly crimped on etc... Almost all of the DC meters and Switches and other 12VDC items all seem to use the ring terminal lugs...

I had a similar problem with my boat. I was able to get everything I needed from Blue Sea. I installed a negative buss bar and went from there. Sort of a fun project to get it done right.
