- eDUBzExplorerJust got this done today from a local shop $24 bucks for a cut piece of lexan. So much nicer looking out the door window.
- FLY_4_FUNExplorerThat's a nice mod. I was getting ready to order a similar product online for much more, then I found out that I could get a sheet of tempered glass for $35 and put on limo tint myself. I really want to see out the glass unlike the frosted OEM setup.
Daryll - RVcircusExplorer IILooks great! So much nicer than the frosted look.
- BoonHaulerExplorerI want to put 1/2" insulated glass in mine to match my windows.
I need a new frame to have cut down so I'd be interested in hearing where the frame came from as well. - rjsurferExplorerWhere did you get the frame? I would love to get extra viewing area on my door. I converted the stock window to )
Lexan but I love the larger area.
Thanks
Ron - Happy_ProspectoExplorerI used tinted lexan when I did my door window, I can still see out but the tint matches my other windows.

Yes regular lexan does scratch quite easily...so I got the Abrasion Resistant lexan...cost almost twice as much! - zigzagrvExplorerLooks good. Considering doing it myself. Last time I checked, Home Depot carries Lexan and acrylic sheets in various thicknesses and sizes. Lexan (polycarbonate) cuts easily with a fine tooth blade, even on a table saw. However, its UV protection is not that good and may frost or yellow over with time and exposure to sunlight. Acrylic has better UV resistance, but is more brittle and requires care in cutting as it will chip if not careful. Lexan scratches easier than acrylic, so be careful when cleaning.
- SteeljagExplorerLooks good!

Looks good. :C
Did you cut the Lexan yourself or get it cut to size?
I had to buy it online as there are no suppliers near me...so I ordered it cut to size.
