cheap is relative. i am not made of money, so would it still be worth it to get everything else 24v, and then in the spring upgrade to 24v panels? getting panels now would mean reducing what i spend on batteries by about 30%, so id lose about 30% battery capacity. id rather add panels later than add batteries later if possible. luckily, the charge controller does up to 24v/48v automatically, so ill get the same one i planned on.
big question - can my alternator charge a 24V battery as is? i need it to charge from solar, shore, and alternator power. thank you so much!
