okay so i am in contact with AM Solar in Oregon, and they have put together a system for me. its 24v and comes with everything needed to install, hopefully. the tech rep said they built this custom for me, and as such have not installed this exact system before so it may be missing a few components. i want to check this estimate for accuracy, and see what you guys think overall. i will have to wire my panels on the roof in series fopr a bit until i get 24v panels, but other than that everything is actual 24v.
can you guys please add input, advice, or let me know what might be missing or why this could be a bad build for me? as i said ill be wiring my current panels in series until i get true 24v panels.
i have(for panels)
-4x 100w 12v
-2x 150w 12v
-4x 50w 12v
the reason im not getting 24v panels now is three things, the first is money.this is an expensive build and i need to make sure i can cover taxes next year(self employed). second, im really hoping these panels will work almost as well as true 24v. i think itll work better than myt 12v system regardless, but am unsure if it will perform as well as true 24v panels. third, it is hard to find smaller physical dimension 24v panels. i can only fund a couple sizes, and they are to big for my roof. id only be able to get 1x(mayabe 2x) 300w 24v panels up there.
that said, does anyone know a good source for 24v panels smaller than 300w? also, do you recommend panasonic panels? thank you all, hoping to pay for this invoice monday if everything seems right.
