Converting to dual FWT

I have the dreaded tank sag. My last rv, a 2006 21 AK attitude had dual tanks without any sag. I am contiplating installing dual 50 gallon FWTs in hopes of decreasing the sag. Has anyone ever thought about this as a way of handling the sag issues. The gram for the old single tank snapped and since I have to rebuild, I am considering a new set up. Less weight men's less sag. The old tank dimensions were roughly 58x59x11. I think that's to much surface area.
  • don't quite understand your situation but what size tank gallons are you replacing with 2 50 gallon tanks and why will this help, unless you can move them around to more balance load?

  • Have seen many TH's with this problem. While two separate tanks will solve the problem you are going to have to add extra supports along with connecting the tanks together by pipe and or pump. It is easier to just add reinforcement ribs under the existing tank. Add three 58" pieces of angle iron and the tank will only have about 16" between support ribs.
  • It's to late for that. Already have to rebuild some frame work. Decided rebuildinfnwas cheaper than two tanks.
