IF not have you considered putting stinger/stand in trailer vs out in open of truck bed....out of sight/out of mind?
That HitchGrip is one of the best inventions that I ever saw. It is balanced and allows you to lift with your knees and save your back.
As you can see from my signature I have a camper shell that locks as well as the tail gate locks. There is an alarm system also including the camper shell. Sometimes I throw an old jacket over the hitch in the truck.
