Dashcam

I use one in the truck pulling the TT. First one to be blame in an accident is the RV driver.
Plan on upgrading mine to one that looks both forward and backwards at the same time. As my last accident (a month ago) was from someone hitting me in the rear. Wasn't towing at the time but if I had a dual lens dash cam things would be going a lot easier with the insurance company.

Well if it was your fault lets hope the other party has a dashcam as well. You are using your dashcam to prove fault then saying you will destroy the evidence when your fault. That is a bit of a double standard isn't it?

He is saying what anyone would do. Best practice is to let others prove fault. I choose to prove innocence.

You want to leave it on there so that when the other driver who isn't at fault comes back at you with a tire iron, you have proof of his bad behavior. In fact, sitting behind the camera and making taunting gestures may bring about that behavior easily. :B

I'm just kidding folks, we all need to be friendly on the highways. :)

The installation of a dash cam would not obligate you to incriminate yourself . No one without a warrant would be able to look at it .

I have one.

Have had one for several Years, Lots of weird drivers doing stupid things, a few really nice Ones making My life easier! No serious stuff!

FYI
You might want to go to a dash mount. It is illegal to have anything on your windshield in many states and some states regulate where on the windshield you can mount anything.
Because even a 5 inch screen GPS on the bottom of your windshield could block your view of a motorcycle according to the Arizona Highway Patrol officer that issued me a warning ticket for my illegal GPS mounting.
Even though my GPS is in the same location but because it is now on a dash mount I now can see motorcycles.
