Did some RV 12V electrical today...

Wired my Shunt into the system in prep form my AmMeter...

used a 4x4 box....





I forgot to take a pic of it capped... Its at the back of the Aframe near almost under the trailer.

Next was a set of dedicated 12v receptacles.



I had a spare opening on the 12V panel... fused it, then i sub fused the 12v receptacle that runs the USB charger... used a 7A inline fuse... it charges two usb ports at 2.1A the bottom one will be for my small inverter that i can run the trarger from.... :)

  • A shunt is a high precision resistor that is used to measure current. The OP mentioned he wired his shunt in preparation for his Ammeter. A shunt is required when using an Ammeter.

    Or something like that :)
