DIY air cooler
Maybe this has been posted here before, but was new to me. Would be great for dry camping without AC power or tent camping. I may make one just to use in the garage in the summer! Bucket air cooler

The ice is not practical- virtually all of the cooling this thing produces is due to evaporative cooling (it takes ~100 pounds of ice to equal a 13,500 btu a/c- 100 pounds per hour). Changing 1 pound of 32 degree ice to 32 degree water absorbs 144 btu's.
I never once thought that anybody would consider this as a viable option to cool an entire trailer! It is a very practical method to use as a personal cooling system the same as people use fans in hot weather only more cooling effect. I really hope that some poor redneck isn't making 5 of these to try to cool his trailer in lieu of an actual air conditioner.
