Actually the male is not hot. That is for a 20 amp cord from the pole to power my front air conditioner.
Here is my install. Here is my 1/0 wire 300 amp fuse and trimetric 500 amp shunt.

I'm about a done I may add some solar but with 440amps if I can run 2 days without generator I will be happy without solar. I left my inverter on with everything plugged in but not on and my fridge and it drew 28amps in 24 hours.
The inverter is fairly efficient when it is putting out 300 watts ac it is pulling 330 watts dc. I was surprised because it is a 2000 watt model.
