Dyeing carpet?
Rather than replacing..have any of you ever tried to dye the fading carpet? Mine is in good condition except for the inevitable fading. Please share with me your pros and cons...Janalee

Almost all carpet, especially automotive and marine, are made from thermoplastics, Nylon, Polyolefin, etc.. They do not accept dyes readily and evenly. I would think replacing the carpet would be the best or replacing with hard surface products. I installed laminate but it gets covered with rugs. The rugs are easy to keep clean.
