Just a follow-up. Receiced this from ecobee support:
'..Incidentally the Smart Si has the capability to run on 12v DC, so if your RV can provide 12v DC and you have/can wire a common wire then you should be fine. This is a legacy of it's predecessor and we don't advertise that it is able to run on 12v DC as 24v AC is usually required for optimal performance. It has been done, but it's not for the average DIYer'
