So, came together quite easily. Ended up getting a Honeywell RTH6500 from Amazon vs Ecobee. I'll definitely get an EcoBee for home, but during the project I found that the hot lead coming off the DuoTherm was only 7.5V which wasnt enough to power an EB. So, ended up getting a cheaper Wifi Tstat (the Honeywell), and bought a 24 VAC transformer, and 3 x 90-290Q relay switches.
Luckily, for me, the wire between the tstat and the air con ran behind the microwave, so I used that spot to sever the wire, and splice in my relay setup.
The relay setup was really quite easy. One relay for each of the three needed wires in my system - fan, cooling, heating.
On the coil side of the relay I had the tstat outputs coming in (posts 1 & 3), and on the output side (posts 2 & 4) I have my 12V signals going to the air con.
Honeywell comes with a free app that allows you to control the system from any internet connection, and the tstat itself is a snap to configure (note: if you get an Error 200 message, try a different web browser).
I may tinker a bit to see if there is are any other 'smart' ways I can mod the trailer to have a few more bells and whistles. Since installing, there have been at least 3 folks in the park wanting help to get theirs installed lol. Especially a few with four season units that would love to arrive in the winter to a warm trailer. Plus, receiving auto notifications if the temperature falls below a certain threshold.
