Extension To Air the Spare

A few months ago I saw where a trailer owner had installed a valve extension so he could check the air pressure in his spare tire, that was mounted under his rig,without crawling under.

Being as I need to crawl under my fiver to check the air in the spare, this seems like a mod that I would put to good use.

Anyone have any ideas where to get the parts, or an assembled unit ?
I would need an extension about 3' long.

    3 each 36" pieces plus
    2 each 36" pieces a total of 5 pieces at 23 bucks each....
    I need a 6' piece and a 9' piece.....

    I'm not following your math here...this part from E-TRAILER is 36" long, is braided stainless, and cost $23.

    So if your spare is 6' away, that would be 2 of these 3' hoses, so that's $46 AND they are braided stainless. The hose has oner male end and one female end, so you can connect them together without any special connectors.

    Only thing is I have 2 spares and one is about 6' from the rear bumper.....

    I went and measured and one tire is 6' and the other is 9" from the rear of the camper. so I would need 5 of those 3" pieces if I could even find a connector. Plus the 125 bucks or so for the braided ss ones.....OUCH.....

    I had on of those on my spare and for some unknown reason it did not hold the air pressure. It could have been a pin hole from the hose caused by a thrown up rock...

    If you are worried about the pressure in the spare, that means you are going to be the one changing it (tow trucks have air tanks). Do you have the tools, and a jack large enough to lift the trailer - in the trailer / TV every trip?

    What a great idea. I'll admit, I rarely check my spare as it is under my fiver's basement floor accessible from the front hatch - which means I'd have to move a bunch of******to get to it.
