Tank should have an overflow line and with a 3/8" vent line there should be adequate venting of tank........
Provided vent line is not kinked or sagging (if sagging water trap can occur)
Also the inlet hose should be as straight a run as possible to tank.......to kinks/sagging either (which will restrict water flow into tank)
