Found great source for HD Battery Cables

Those who get involved with multiple batteries in a bank, solar power, large capacity inverters, etc. are always looking for good sources for battery cable, terminal ends, and similar. I recently went looking for cable and terminal ends so that I could add a second pair of 6v GC batteries, and I found much better than that! I found a company that could ship me pre-made cables, color coded with color matched shrink-tube for less than I could buy the materials myself.

I didn't post about them when I ordered, because I wanted to see how prompt they were and check the quality. The cables came today. Not bad for something ordered on-line on Monday! The quality appears GREAT! UL rated cable, well crimped and sealed, etc...

The company that I ordered from was Pacer. Based on my experience, I have no problem recommending them to others!

I use ANCOR MARINE QUALITY Battery cable. I order mine from ebay from various ebay store sources usually around $50 for a 25-foot spool. All colors are supported. I also use the ANCOR BRAND ring terminals...

I would rather cut to size and build up my own cables then try to find them already built up for you.

I use this type of 8-ton hydraulic hand crimper with different wire gauge size dies available from various sources for around $59...

I have a professional grade KROY K5100 heat shrink cable marker kit to identify all of my cables.

All of my home made Battery cables turn out great.

  • Fire instructor, do you know if they will make up cables with 5/16 and 3/8 terminals on opposite ends?
  • Great info.....Im in the market for some new cables for my (6) 6 volt batteries in the MH, even borrowed the large crimpers from my brother BUT with those prices, your right, its less than buying all the parts yourself. Thanks again!!!
  • Absolutely a good company. Dealt with them many times.
