I have not used 'electrostatic' sheets but I have used stick on frosted sheets.... one must peel off the protective backing, wet the now exposed sticky side along with the window glass and then just place the sheet on the glass. Trim the excess to fit the window and then squeegee out any bubbles. These sheets do not come off by themselves. I have had some in place on house windows for years. They are removable, though, if needed. The frosting spray is not easily removable, if at all.
