It really depends on the type of loading that the bond line sees. Epoxy adhesives will be your strongest, but if your bonded parts see some vibrations or a jarring force an adhesive that is more ductile but has less ultimate strength would be better. Pure epoxies will be very strong but very brittle. I am not sure exactly what your application is but you mentioned thin steel skins to Al frames so I am thinking your talking about bonding outer skins of your RV to Al frame work. If so I would use something like the 3M 5200. It has some ductility along with good strength. Unlike bonding plastics you will not get a chemical bond only a mechanical bond so surface prep is very important.
