My method of dealing with waxing the high parts.
Move into a boatyard for a few days & use A frames & long 12X2" boards.
A few moves does the whole side.
For roof work, climb up onto the roof. No different than walking around on the ground. Climbing the rear ladder is the hard part. Take some line & have the DW tie a bucket with tools onto it or whatever else is needed up there.
