Hail Repair with Rhino Liner

I have a Toy Hauler with aluminum siding. I keep it in a covered building but the front remains open has has sustained hail damage.

Recently, I was camping and another camper told my wife that he had the same problem and got the damaged aluminum covered with Rhino Liner. I am familiar with the pick up bed material, I wonder what is used on aluminum siding?

I also wonder if I need to replace the dented siding before I have the Rhino Liner installed?
  • There are so many dents that it's only practical to replace it.
  • The RL will not really protect against dents like that- it's an anti scratch and scrape coating, not something that will make the siding any more resistant to dents, other than maybe gravel pock marks.

Not that it is a bad idea, just don't expect too much from it.

are you talking about Hardline, Eco Coat or Rhino Hybrid, all three?
  • I'm really talking about any of them. While I do believe you can apply them thick enough to work like this, it would likely take a quarter inch thick application to do it, which would add significant weight.

I could well be wrong though.
