"Half-open" position for exit window with hinged rod

Jerry, I tried that, but the bar stuck out too far from the window when it was in the "half open" position. It would hit me in the back when sitting at the table -- worse yet, since the table converts into our bed, it would poke me in the feet during the night.

And Tiger: "junk drawer" indeed?! I must say that I deeply resemble that remark. It is not a junk drawer -- it is a repository of future spare parts!
