Oops....guess I should've clarified a bit. The Pinto reference was priceless LOL! I'm a firefighter so NO...there will be no cooking or heat above the gas tanks...The grill was just there to save some space but may be moved for weight and/or handling while towing. I don't anticipate carrying fuel back there....I'll calculate how much gas our setup uses and fuel for each boondocking night (about 6 or 7 nights out of the trip.) Beautiful setups burbman and mallard, going to show my welder buddy the pics to possibly reinforce...Mallard, do you have any pics of the underside? I'm leaning toward removing the thin bumper completely and welding a receiver to each side of the frame (the setup needs to be removeable). It's also meant to provide security at the campsites/cities we visit as I'm a bit leery of leaving the generators in the pickup full time.
