Extended Run Generator setup

i don't know about both from one tank, they might fight each other for fuel? guess you can try 2-on-1, and if it dont work, just need another tank...

the honda has a fuel pump in it, a vacuum impulse pump, so it's weak but better than nothing. either plumb a quick connect into the fuel line (inside the case), or get a replacement gas cap that has a quick connect on it. get an outboard fuel tank with quick connect hose, plug it in, prime it up and you're done.

repeat for the second generator.

I have the setup like in the link above. It works great! You can find a Youtube video that shows how to set them up. They should run your AC all night and then some! Good luck

I made my setup cheaper than any of the kits I could find. I bought a 6 gallon marine gas tank from either Amazon, or Walmart, I don't remember. I bought the aluminum caps off eBay, and I bought boat gas line disconnects along with some fuel hose. It is very easy to assemble everything, and it works perfectly. I did use a brass 90 degree fitting, then a T fitting off of that to keep the height down.

Here's our build for a single genset. Just install a Y on the line and save yourself a lot of money. Chuck

I did mine the same way as chuckbear and it works great.

I have the BERGS system for dual generators and it works fantastic..

Once hooked up and running , I could run my entire 50amp fifth wheel, with the exception of the 2nd ac for about 16 hours..

The system is very easy to set up and use.. I may still have the system in my shed , I now use my onboard Onan 6.5 ..

We have a 100 gallon L shaped tank. We refuel our truck and run our generator directly from it. Never run out as the pump inlet doesn't reach as deep as the Gen. You can just use 2 Ys fo inlet and return.
there are several reasons I would never run a portable gas generator on a boat. One it has to be grounded, 2 exhaust fumes, 3 if it leaks gas it is not explosion proof.

If you prefer the "ready-made" kits, they're available from Amazon. They include the tank, lines, replacement caps and fittings. I believe they run in the $150-$200 range.

A bit pricey, but ready to connect and go.
