Here is a link to approx 200 listings on E-Bay Light Panel 48 SMD Led
The 48 SMD panels use the 1206 LED, an older design that is not as bright as the newer SMD LEDs. The 36 LED panels use the 1210 LED while the 24 LED panels use the 5050 LEDs. I think you will find that the 24 5050 SMD LED panels are the brightest, but also the most expensive. I would guess that they are more reliable too.
Some of the ones in the Listing I gave are using the SMD 1210 / SMD 3528
(SMD 1210 (inch): conversion to metric is 3528, means that the length of LED components is 3.5mm, width 2.8mm. So by metric it is called SMD 3528, By inch, it is called SMD 1210.)
Here is the specifications from 1:
Specification:
Voltage: DC 12V
LED quantity: 48 3528SMD LEDs
Color: White
Color temperature : 5000K
Luminous flux: 190LM
Size: approximately 1.57 x 1.97inch(40 x 50mm)
Include 3 adapters: T10 & BA9S & Dome light adapter(suitable for 32-42mm)
I have seen a few 48 LED SMD 5050 but they are in the $ 8.00 range per panel.
