I want to change my lights to LED's, but our new trailer came with round halogen lights! I had not seen this before. Wonder if they make replacements for these new style lights???
You should be able to find something - try AliExpress.com and see what they have.
http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale/wholesale-120-SMD-3528-LED-light.html?manual=y&CatId=390402I did a search for 3528 LED 120 light, and came up with that list. I think 628 results.
3528 is 3.5 X 2.8 mm
5050 is 5.0 X 5.0 mm, and fairly bright.
I have 4 of the 24 LED 5050 panels in my bathroom, probably more light than the pair of 15 watt lights that is replaced, all 4 panels use about 6 watts according to my E-meter.
I bought the 24 LED 5050 panels for $2.65 in a lot of 10 from AliExpress.com
I have been testing a 13 LED 5050 light on my porch. I turned it on July 3, it is still working, about 32 days later. Only draws about 0.1 amps according to my e-meter, and gives a slight amount of light to about 30' from the RV, about enough to walk by, not enough to read by unless you are standing on the RV porch steps. Yet you can find your keys easy. I will probably put in the 18 LED lamp in there, or order a new style 120 LED light, the 3528 in the link above for about $5.
What you might need to do to replace the halogen is find a replacement panel, or perhaps look for a LED that is a direct replacement. For my 1 Halogen light, I just unplugged the halogen and plugged in a 12 LED panel. It took all of 4 seconds. This light is under a lamp shade, so the panel is not seen while it is on.
I replaced the lights next to my water pump switch (after the third light burnt out) with the 12 LED panel 5050 light. It is kinda bright at night, but gives plenty of light to see by, and I will not leave the pump on accidentally again! It lights up the whole bathroom at when your eyes are adjusted to night light levels, and also the one in the kitchen gives plenty of light to walk around by. It probably uses less power than the small yellow indicator light it replaced, but those barely gave off any light, certainly not enough to see by, only enough to find the pump switch.
