Yes, we have a window at the head of the bed, so a headboard could not go too high. We just used a piece of masonite board, and drew a shape that we liked. Height was measured from just below mattress surface to bottom edge of window. Covered it with fabric, did frilly puff cushion border around top and down sides. Attached to wall with velcro and screws.
