Hunter Thermostat--Thinking about this installing this mod

Question for those who have done this mod a few years ago. Have you discovered any downside effects from mod? I'm thinking, the a/c may cycle more often. Wear & tear on the a/c? Any regrets? What ...

Have 2 of the Hunter Thermostats in my motorhome. Front one runs front furnace and front AC. Rear runs rear AC. Work very well. Only drawback is needing new batteries every year.
