Hunter Thermostat--Thinking about this installing this mod

Question for those who have done this mod a few years ago. Have you discovered any downside effects from mod? I'm thinking, the a/c may cycle more often. Wear & tear on the a/c? Any regrets? What ...

I have a Coleman Mach digital thermostat and was wondering if any has replaced their Coleman digital with the Honeywell RTH221B? I don't like the swing I get with the Coleman and have no way to adjust it.
