We have a cook top cover so the induction cookers (we have two) can be placed anywhere. As for the built in ones you then are limited where you can place your pots and pans while cooking and I have heard of some issues with one being limited if the other is running full blast. However, a stove top model may be quieter. The fans on these Nu wave devices are a bit loud.
