I have seen several articles on installing solar panels on RV roofs, but none of them have dealt with installing them on rubber membrane roofs. Most of these articles suggested using an adhesive instead of screws to install the mounts to the roof, but I have my doubts adhesives would work on a rubber membrane roof. I am dealing with my 2013 Arctic Fox 992 truck camper and it is prewired for solar with plugs already on the roof. I already have the controller in and wired and two 120 watt panels that I need to mount on the roof. Anyone have any advice or experience with this?

I used a large neoprene fender washer and lots of dicor to seal the stainless deck screw.Forum Members Solar Installations With Pics

You always want to use screws. You find the studs under the rubber roof. and screw the brackets to the roof into the studs.I always use Di-Cor to seal the screws and seal the brackets. I use a stud finder and it make life a easier.

You can also drop in to the Northwoods RV home base and get more info on your solar install on a TC, as one of the members just did this same install on his TC.
