its more a factor of the price for what it is, rather than the actual cost, sort of like comparing a $10.00 pack of gum to a $300.00 car. Cheap car. Expensive gum. Even though the gum is cheaper.
would rather spend more money for a completely new system, than just a lot of money on a hot water tank that may not outlive the update.
