As promised, I'm following up on my Jack antenna install and how it performs vs. the old batwing (without wingman) it replaced. I'm currently in the campground at Hot Springs National Park, located in 'Gulpha Gulch' where I've always had trouble getting a reliable OTA signal from some local stations.
The Jack does provide a better signal - not perfect (there is an occasional pixellation event) but it is definitely an improvement vs. the batwing it replaced. Since my batwing did not have a wingman add-on (no room for it due to the location of an AC unit) there is no way to judge how my Jack compares to that configuration.
In addition to the slightly better performance, the lighter weight Jack is much easier to crank up and down and to rotate.
I'm a happy camper...
