Unless I'm missing something it looks like you are relying on the original bolts holding the ladder to also carry the bike. I realize they are supposed to be substantial enough to hold a person but you may want to keep an eye on them.
I had one of those commercial made, bike carriers on my fifth wheel ladder and was hauling an aluminum bike across country for several thousand miles and the hammering/bouncing virtually destroyed the stand-off pieces on the ladder. The difference, however, that mine was on the back of a fifth wheel trailer with no shock absorbers, and probably got a lot rougher ride than on a truck camper. I would just watch for loosening of those bolts.
