Leaky roof fix?

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the stuff seen on tv: Flex seal.

Where the metal vent for my 3 way fridge goes, there seams to be a leak there between the vent and the roof. I was thinking about getting a can of this stuff to seal the area.

Anyone ever use it?

Pros? Cons?

The rest of my roof does not seem to leak.

  • There's always a "right way" to do something and there's a cost to doing it otherwise.
For $6 you can get a tube of non-self leveling Dicor lap sealant that will do a proper long term fix.
  • It is a product that has its uses and benefits on many different types of repairs, without seeing your specific repair it's hard to say if it's the correct fix. I would probably go the route of a Dicor or Equal self leveling sealent, easier to work with and made specifically for the job.
