Looking for inexpensive upgrade for bunk mattresses....

We have a double sized bottom bunk and a twin sized top for our boys. Those standard "mattresses" are absolute garbage and I feel bad my boys have slept on them for 2 years now. I'd be open to a foa...

I think everyone needs a few drinks to visit Ikea. If you do pickup a mattress there you can remove the cover cut the foam to fit if needed, then turn the cover inside out and sew in a new seam for the smaller mattress size with some upholstery thread and cut off the excess cover for a nice custom fit cover that's washable.
