I redid all my cushions and bunk mattresses with new high density foam. The BIL is an upholsterer so he did the sewing, I bought the material and he did the rest. For mattresses, you should be able to buy foam in sheets, cut it with an electric carving knife, glue pieces together with spray glue, and put a cover over it.

Rockford Supply. You should have an upholstery supplier closer to you. The new foam is so nice.
