Metal Shades in the bunkhouse- options to replace?

We had those kind in our old Outback trailer, whoever had the idea of putting them in should have been thumped upside the head a few times. I didn't want any strings so we opted to just put an plain old roller shade under the valance. Problem with tint is depending on the light others can see into the window still.
