Light weight bunkhouse options

The launch 260bhs looks like the jay flight 28bhs. Big kitchen bunkhouses with no rear clothes storage for the bunks!

Apex is one I am looking at. It's lightweight and is dry under 5 k. Apex 288BHS

I just pulled the trigger on a Starcraft Launch 26bhs over the weekend. Unloaded weight is 5200lbs and hitch is 530. Its 26', has a small slide out and the full size bunks in back. The couch(which is part of the slide out) also folds out. The kitchen had more counter space (its an L shape) than anything else we saw in this weight/price range. The small slide made all of the difference in an open feel inside. It does not have a U dinette but that was not a deal killer as you can only fit so many legs under them (in this size anyway)and I found 4 people is all that is comfortable so a regular dinette was fine as it seats the same. I am way out in AZ where freight is more to ship here and I picked up a 2015 model w/ the arctic package (ironcic having that in AZ) and their forced packages that put in LED rope lighting, aluminum rims, electric jack etc and I paid $20k. I traded in a Starcraft hybrid and have been very happy w/ the brand. We dont see a lot of the mentioned brands here in Phoenix but Starcraft is big out here.

Are you saying you have a tongue weight limitation of 550-600? The tongue weights you listed with those trailers are for the dry weight. It will go up when you load the trailer. My 4200 pound trailer has a 400 pound dry tongue weight but loaded to it's 7000 pound capacity it has a 900 pound tongue.

I'd scratch the NT off the list from TW alone... I have to get mine between 800-900 lbs to tow stable. If 600 lbs is your limit you'll want to look at something in the 3000-3500 lbs range dry, which doesn't leave too many options.

Thanks for posting.It seems the Keystone Passport and Bullet are lightweight and have the options we want. We are looking for slideout, pullout couch, and preferably full size bunks. We are going to look at keystone 280BHS (Bullet) and the Passport 2810BH this weekend. I would like to look at Amerlite and aerolite but cannot find a dealer in our area.

I have a F-150 with tow package and don't want trailer any larger than 5000 pounds.

So I created a list of options that work for us and I figured I would share and hopefully save someone some time. :) Our wish list was: bunkhouse, 28ft or less, slide out, and an oven, prefer a couch but not a deal breaker and hitch weight no more than 550-600.

Now to decide and find one nearby. :) Thanks for all the help!

Thank you so much!! We are checking out these options then "hoping" to find some near us here in NC. There doesn't seem to be much around here. We are moving to FL next year, so we may consider buying one from there now knowing we will be there for about four years (Military).
