You haven't mentioned just which genset you have but I built a
Quiet Box for my Honda EU2000i that worked so well it could barely be heard at all from 20' away, even running full tilt.

Inelegant as it may be keeping fresh water containers inside a camper that is already warmed is to me the obvious answer. Why waste energy of
any type to heat an area that otherwise would be sitting below freezing when the inside of your camper will by definition always be
above the freezing mark? :h
