I buy LED's all the time on Ebay .. I buy the type that come on a roll and if you watch you can pick them up pretty cheap. I just bought 300 on a roll of the bright white. they come with 3M double sided tape on the back you can even get them with a water prof covering. I got 300 for 4.65 with free shipping. Now how they can do it beats the heck out of me but I've bought about 5 rolls in the last year or so and you can even get them where they change colors or blues, reds or lots of other colors. Just watch the price some times the same rolls I get for less then 5 dollars cost as much as 30 buck. They run on 12 volts and there are little tabs where you can solder wire and make them in any size you want even a wall wart will run several of them. I use a power supply that I have on the test bench and I can run 900 plus and I have them on a dimer so I can control how bright they get ...
