The exisiting "under-cabinet" light fixures were screwed on with 6 screws, and a single larger hole in the middle for the wiring.
While the screw holes remain, I enlarged the wiring hole for the rocker switches(false floors in the cabinets house all the existing wiring).
As for the awning, I added a small 2 conductor plug in my generator compartment (tied into the 12V step light feed) at the rear of the MH, and made a 2-conductor wire (small gauge lamp cord) long enough to plug into the awning strip, run down the awning leg, and then duck under the MH and up into the generator compartment. I also added an inline switch on that wire.
