Need advice on Advent A/C thermostat wiring

I just replaced my original Coleman A/C unit with an Advent 15k unit. I have the shore power connected but the control wiring isn't making too much sense to me I have the 4 stat wires hooked up, but still not getting any action from the stat or the unit. Are there some controls gurus out there that can help? Thanks in advance.

The unit is the
Advent Rooftop Air-Conditioning Units
Product #: AC135/AC150
Mine is the AC150

And I got the ducted kit
Advent Ducted Ceiling Assembly
Product #: ACRG11

That included this Advent Digital Thermostat
Product #: ACTH12
  • Looks like you need the advent Colman/Advent retro fit kit. I am going through much the same type of thing with my new Atwood Air Command unit. I made a post about it here. Hope you have better luck than I have been having although that may change when I get a call from Good Sam response team tomorrow.
    Good luck! :)

  • Does the digital thermostat have four or eight wires. The ACRG11 documentation is pretty specific about needing 8 wires. I have the analog thermostats and the ACRG11 Advent Ducted Ceiling Assembly, and they require 8 wires. I would call their tech support. Good luck and keep us posted.
  • Thanks for the replies so far.

The stat that came i the kit has 4 terminals. The wiring from the unit has 4 wires taped together with the tape reading "stat". There are two bare ended wires out from that; a red one is 12vdc and the other is a black ground.
