New Steps Needed After Axle Flip - Recommendations?

I have a 2011 MVP Summit 25-BH travel trailer I recently bought. I went from a pretty tall 19' foot Fleetwood to this and learned quickly that the extra 6 feet of trailer length causes clearance issues. So I went in and had the axles flipped and feel much better about not ripping my drain pipes off. Now the entry steps are too high so I was just going to swap on a triple step set-up. The problem is that EVERY triple step kit I find is 27" wide at the frame where mine is 25.5". I found one guy online who had the exact same problem as me but I still can't find steps that will fit my trailer. Is my only option to saw off my existing double step assembly and weld on the wider 27" versions? Has anyone else experienced this and successfully found a solution?
  • If you want the best it's Torque lift. I installed a set on my FW and posted with pics but searched and cant find any of my posts over a year old. Not cheap but very good and great customer service.

Mine are 27 but they offer 25.5
It took some cutting and grinding to remove my old step.

  • I built a 30" X 36" box out of exterior grade plywood high enough to make the step up to the first step comfortable. I left the bottom open on the box so I can turn it over in the bed of my truck to carry stuff in when towing. I covered the top and sides in outdoor carpet. It has been a handy thing to have and works great as a bottom step after our axles were flipped.
  • Maybe you could bring some sort of a step stool to put on the ground next to the steps, kind of like railroads do (or did) at station platforms.
  • Tork Lift Glow Steps. Order to fit. I posted pics on 12/29/16 in this thread
