Absolutely I just cannot wait until GM comes out with the aluminum box (which it will ).....after they spend all this MONEY on commercials......complained about Ford's
and then they come out with their tailgate step after doing the Howie Long commercial about the man step

The tailgate step does have it's uses, but there are times I need or want to get into the bed of my truck with the tailgate in the closed position. The GM bumper steps work well in my opinion, and after having them consider it to be a great way to access the bed. If it was an option to have the tailgate step or the bumper step, I'd choose the bumper step. Plus what happens to the tailgate step once the tailgate gets bent a little, as you see all the time on trucks that are hauling materials. Not knocking the tailgate step, just another way of looking at it.

I remember when that ad came out... I know a lot of people who bought Fords because they saw the tailgate step in that ad! Whoever came up with that ad should have been fired.
Or... maybe they were hired by Ford? lol- Leaving the hitch in all the time is illegal in a lot of states / provinces.
