You can't have a black tank and not use it, unless you replace RV toilet with some cassette type. RV toilet is plumbed to black tank, so sewage has to go through the tank, whether the dump valve is open or closed.
I wish there was some option to replace RV toilet with a household toilet hooked directly to sewer pipe, bypassing the tank - for those who are always on hookups. Emergency trips to toilet (without black tank) could be dealt with in several different ways.
